1. Message from the Convenor – We did it!
After 3 years of effore and so many disappointments, we are now finally a Section at SRC. Needless to say, this would not have been possible without the support of the current SRC Management Committee. I wish to congratulate them for their vision to make SRC a premier club that offers a diversified selection of activities to its members. Thank you.
I also wish to mention the support from our members (and guests) who show up every Monday to practice and have fun. It is encouraging to see an uptrend in the number of pairs attending these sessions. We are sometimes running at almost the full capacity of 11 pairs in the room.
As for our non-regular members, I sincerely hope that their circumstances will change in future so as to allow them to occasionally join us on Mondays.

3. Upcoming Activities – Intermediate & Beginner Courses
Ever wonder how someone can make an “extra” trick? Fed up of people telling you how you should have played that hand? Upset that you did not bid game when you should have and bid game when you should not have? Well don’t fret, as Zain will be conducting an Intermediate Bridge Course in September. Watch out for details in RECs Magazine. Remember – you MUST know your basic bidding and play. Zain will not repeat that stuff. This is a real intensive value added course pacled with goodies and tricks.
